Become a supporter of New Hope Center

New Hope Center depends upon donations from individuals, churches, and other grant-making institutions to fund its grief programs and trainings.

There are many ways you can help us in our efforts to help grieving children and their families in DRCongo. Your contributions can go to:

1. Scholarships — Only 40% of the children in Eastern Congo have a chance to go to school. Many of those children have been orphaned as a result of the war. The remaining parent or family member is quite often not able to pay the school fees. You can help a child go to school. For elementary school the cost is only $70 USD per child for one year, and for high-school it costs $170 USD per teen for year. These costs include two sets of uniforms and notebooks.

2. Producing more materials for facilitators and also for grieving children and their families in French and Swahili, the two languages used most in Eastern Congo.

3. Training more Congolese facilitators to continue the work in Congo.

4. Summer camps.

5. Setting up new Satellite Centers in other areas.

NHC is registered as a non-profit organization in the DR Congo, but we do not have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in the U.S. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, we recommend making your contribution through WorldVenture, which does have tax-exempt status.
